The Mistress of Comedy Writing has bagged a selection of the industry's top honors since the beginning of the year, scooping two Golden Globes, a People's Choice gong and The Associated Press' Entertainer of the Year award.
The comedian's recognition-packed month has ended on another high note- America's NBC network has confirmed they are renewing the star's popular sit-com for their 2009/10 season.
Other NBC hits The Office and The Biggest Loser will also return, but the channel's president Angela Bromstad warns flops Kath & Kim and Knight Rider "may or may not be coming back".
