The air was right for protest Thursday night, when a small band of anti Scientology demonstrators exercised their freedom of speech outside of the Directors Guild of America Building. Their signs read "Tom Cruise: Cult Icon" and "Religion is Free, Scientology is Not."
One outspoken member of the group shouted through a home made bull horn equipped with lips and eyes made of felt and Styrofoam. Lesson learned, Scientology may be seen as odd but the protesters don't seem very far away.

I was at the premier and what a total dud.. Cruise should be taken out & whipped. First, the premier is held at an "art films" venue, no major stars show up, except co-star Kenneth Branaugh, followed by Tom's publicity-hungry Scientology pals Jenna Elfman, Michelle Stafford (who?) & Priscilla Presley in dire need of another face-lift. Cruise & Elfman were clearly bothered by the protestors outside the comfort of their heated tent as can be confirmed when they closed the flap at the entrance. Retire soon and be happy, Tom.
